Battle tested and brilliant

The interface has solid build quality. The converters are top notch and the sound quality is also excellent. Personally i don't care that much about DSP since my laptop has more than enought juice, but it is nice to have. Now to the juice and, most probably the reason you want to get the Apollo, the plugins. There is a wide variety of high quality plugins that cater to a plethora of music genres and different needs. They will not make you a professional, but they will give your sound that extra mile that it needs. Overall, I am very very satisfied with the Apollo Twin X Duo. I am sure it will serve me for many years to come.

Great product, but be aware..

Sounds great, very good preamps, quality in both hardware and software. But be aware, when I bought it I was impressed by its functions with using effects direct in recordings with no latency. What they don't tell you, is that this interface can't handle many effects before it says stop, and you get the message that it can't handle more plugins. My frustration made me buy a satellite octacore 3 at the same price as this one to get used it as I would, and that's a big cost. But that said, my recordings sounds better than ever, and I'm very pleased with the quality of UA software, but I've spend much more money than I've thought I would. Two advices; you don't have to spend extra for software boundless, you'll get lots of offers from universal audio. Number two; arturia audiofuse rev2 is an excellent interface at a lower price, and arturia has lots of good software. You have also the possibility to subscribe to UA spark for about 150$ yearly, and that means you'll get access to much of UA's software with any interface you have, and that's also a very good alternative. If I would say anything negative about the hardware, I miss more than one headphone out, something the arturia audiofuse has 4 of so that's said. In summon, UA is much like Apple, many good products, but with a high pricetag. And one more thing, universal audio has their daw Luna, very good interface to use with their software.

huge difference

I'm new enough to recording. I have this running into a Mac mini 2 on Logic. The difference in sound recording quality and absolute ease of use is worth all of the cost. Even with the basic set of UA plugins the sound is amazing.

Worth every penny

As the headline says, this was worth every penny! The Apollo is a wonderful audio interface, and the suite of plug-ins only make it that much more enjoyable and exciting to use.

A great buy for anyone looking to upgrade his/her studio setup!

One of the best

The quality of this is top notch. I wish plugins would be less expensive but you get few of them included which would cover most of the needs.

Worth buying

Believe it or not, I definitely feel it was a worthy purchase as the bundled software I got with these are pretty amazing and the interface itself is an upgrade to my space.

Cheers

The best

I think this really is one of the best Interfaxes out there. If you can afford it, don’t hesitate.

Great product if you are a mac owner

Love the zero latency, UAD console and all the plugins. My favourites are the ENGL Savage 120 amp and C-Suite C-VOX. The latter is a great noise suppressor for microphones. Amps sound great. It takes a bit of time to try out all the cab options etc to get the right sound.. But eventually you'll get there. The build quality of the device is superb and it's pretty intuitive to work with those buttons on the device.

On the bad side, Windows drivers just suck. I've had lots of problems with them and eventually just bought a mac. I've got a motherboard with TB3-4 support and everything from getting it to even connect to the PC has been a pain. I managed to get everything working but still got ~3 times a week total freeze of audio drivers & sometimes there were 1s hiccups... I probably messed ~3 months on Windows. I even upgraded to Windows 11 and reinstalled everything. Eventually I gave up and bought a Mac.
