Vater 5AN Los Angeles Sticks Nylon

These are a heavier kind. I like them. My only complaint is, the plastic heads needs sanding down, because on mine, both have had some burrs, which would probably do damage to my e-drum heads in no time. That, and the price is why I give it only 4+4. For that money it should be better out of the box. But they are good sticks after you take care of them.

Amazing balance

These sticks are just amazing.

With regards to the balance: not any stick comes close.

Durability is very good. I'm making a lot of rim-shots and the sticks survive many, many hours intensive drumming with rim-shots and heavy hitting on the cymbals.

Great for e-drums

Was looking for some sticks with nylon tips for e-drums (mostly for protection not due to sound issue), and this seem a good choice. They feel a little more heavy than my classic Virth 5A, but not too much... now I use them daily. Build quality seems good :)

Great sticks for all styles

I have been using Vater 5A wood tip sticks for the last 10 years playing everything from Metal to Jazz. I recently bought an electric drum kit and wanted a pair of Nylon tip sticks that wouldn't leave marks on the kit. These are perfect for that! Vater makes very good quality sticks that are perfectly weighted and extremely durable. I used to use Vic Firth sticks but found that I was breaking them too often, I have not had the same problem with Vater. Would definitely recommend these to people with acoustic and electric drums.

Great sticks, big difference

I recently switched to these sticks after using Vic firth 5an for the last five years. I find these sticks to be a lot more durable, I purchased three pairs and one has broken in four months of intensive Drumming. They are also very nicely weighted.
