Vic Firth HD9 American Classic Hickory
Sticks

My go-to stick
These are my favourite sticks. They are a little bigger than a standard 5A stick, and are a little thicker too. I really like the way they feel. And they're really sturdy, at least from my experience. Would definitely recommend for rock/metal drummers, even though these sticks work well for most genres
excellent alternative to B2
i like thick sticks, and used the maple version (sd9) for years, but recently wanted more weight on the skins so decided to go B2, which i love, until i discovered there's a hickory version of my old sticks.
compared to B2 i find them a bit darker on the cymbals, which i prefer, and less sharp when hitting skins.
I alternate the two models regularly, according to the musical situation I play.
Plus, Vic firt is a reliability!
Good alterntaive to 5A's
I used a set of these which were lying around in a studio and liked them. I bought some!
