It took me a couple years to find the perfect stick for me, finally found these. Super well balanced stick, the added length is perfect for me. If you like a forward balanced stick try these out.

They're a little bit longer than a standart 5A, giving you more punchy and powerful hits! Great for metal.

The extra length happened to be extra useful

Loved the same ol' Vic Firth but with a twist. Personally, I've loved those extra cm as It felt extra comfy in my hands, providing also control over the drumsticks.

The sticks for me

As expected of any Vic Firth stick, the 5A Extremes are great. They are especially good because of the extra length. I'm generally a smaller person and I chose them for this reason. I also came to find that they have a perfect balance between the length and the weight.

I generally only play rim shots on the snare, except for the ghost notes, and I tend to break a stick at around the 2-3 month mark, which I think is good, considering that I play almost every day.

Was looking for a longer 5A for more range and weight.

This feels really good, the 3 stars are due to the fact that it did not last as long as most of my Vic Firths, not great quality, or maybe a bad batch. I will order more and see.

My take

I bought a pair of these with an heavier set of drumsticks so I could develop my hand technique and power. These are absolute marvelous drumsticks and super maneuverable, and still feel very compact and resistent.

Very comfortable to play, our drummer is happy!
