Warchal Karneol 4/4 Ball End
String Set For Violin

Nice sound but A string breaks
Very disappointed with these strings. I quite liked their sound on my fiddle, very strong and projecting, but I've tested them twice and both times the A string broke EXTREMELY quickly. Like after 20 minutes of playing at full tension (and I give them several hours to stretch, tuning them step by step until full tension).
These are my favourite strings
I have used these strings since they were first available, and whilst I occasionally try other strings, I come back to these every time. They are stable, relatively long-lived and tolerate the use of altered tunings. I'd describe them as quick-responding and they really cut through the mix in a bluegrass or old-time setting. I know that steel strings are popular with most fiddle players of these genres, but These Karneol's work great for me and I often get asked what I'm using.
