Latest User Reviews
Ordered 2 pcs, one missing string (0.80), second package had 2x.100 strings.
Good for price (5strings)
Cheap strings works fine but its cheap....
Bang for the bucks
Overall very satisfied. Cheap price, so i gonna change it regulary
Works but not good
They do their job and do sound good, not especially good compared to other brands but good non the less.
However, the strings are very harsh on the fingers and loose brightness very quickly.
Useless
Terrible quality control. In almost every sets that I've bought one string from the set it's completely dead. Once a few years ago I bought 2 boxes of 5 strings sets and on the 12 sets, 9 where defective)
Buying this strings it's just trowing money away.
They are cheap and the sound isn't bad, but with this low quality control they are just useless.
It's strange for a brand like Warwick still continues selling these strings... it's not a good strategy.
5 strings of tangy!
brilliant value for money, a touch heavy on the 130 but very deep sounding and crisp at the same time. they are not long time clean sounding but are great strings.
Very Good value strings
Iv'e used these for years now with few issues. At one point the ball ends were too big to fit my schaller 2000 series bridges...own goal! That was fixed a while back though. Occasionally the wrap at the ball end of the .130 B string is slightly too fat to fit the slot on the same bridge and needs a squeeze with grips to fit... there is the occasional duff string, but very few compared to the number used, and at this price you can't really complain.
Good but the feel is raspy
After a couple of months it started to get dull. The country I live is rather damp. But other strings doesn't go that bad this quick
About this strings, i don't know if i say thatthey are good or if they are bad. I tried it on regular basses like fender, squier, others than warwick and this strings never sound good, on fingers it seems like pure steel, it seems like "glue" to our fingers. Of course that this aspect it's equal to every basses, i mean, the physic aspect. But on sound it works good on a warwick bass, it sounds better than rotosound on warwick bass, and that it's why i don't know if i talk good or bad about this item. My recomendation is: If u have an WW, buy this strings because it works very good. If u are not a player from WW don't buy it, because it works very badly.
Surprisingly good strings at an amazing price
I picked these strings up for my back-up bass. Given how low the price was I was not expecting very much. I was pleasantly surprised.
The strings were a little difficult to get onto the bass due to the odd winding toward the taper - the outer wind resolves into a kind of spiral that makes the string end a little higher tension that I have found with other brands, but it was nothing too difficult.
Once on, I found the strings to be very bright and crisp. I have them on an Ibanez SR300 ( H/H active bass ) and they sound pretty good. The bass is nice and deep while the highs are snappy and clear.
I'll certainly be happy to order another set of these as my back-up bass strings in future. For my main bass I will stick to La-Bella tape wound black nylons, but for my other basses where I just need some nice workable strings these ones will do me very well.
