This is my third acoustic bass, which I use for practising at home and for jamming in my buddy's basement. This is definitely the best! I've already sold one other. I would love to give it five stars across the board but there were a few unfortunate deficiencies. PROS: - overall look is lovely - nice binding, rosette and stripe down the back - acoustic volume is better than my others, especially the E-string - amplified sound is nice & seems even across all strings CONS: - the strings were unbelievably squeaky; I had to immediately replace them with D'Addario tapewounds; now the sound is awesome - the fret ends are quite rough; I'll need to do some sanding - there are a number of finishing flaws that aren't obvious from any distance but do indicate quality control issues: - extra...

I bought it as my first acoustic bass, curious what it's like to play that kind of instrument. SOUND: This bass isn't as loud as i thought, but it's louder than a 3 times more expensive Takamine acoustic bass, so it's pretty neat. The sound is clear and refined, altough there is a little fret buzz when you'll attack the string with more force. After plugging in to an amp it still has some acoustic tone, altough not as good as amplifying the sound through the microphone. It's pretty well built for the price, altough on mine there's a little bit of tiny ditches on the side of neck, but it's ok. My biggest issue was when i removed it from the box, guitar was covered in shavings. Fortunetely after brief cleaning it's fine. And i need to cover an issue, that some people before me...

Beautiful instrument. The build quality is impeccable. As with all acoustic basses the volume is low when not amplified. This surprised me as the body appears bigger and this in itself is the only issue I would have with the instrument - I struggle to get my right arm around the body and as a result the playability is a bit uncomfortable. Other than that I am very happy with the instrument. Just one side issue - the choice of strings available for acoustic 5 strings is quite limited so maybe look into this before buying.
