was looking into quite a few wireless for my saxophone. At last I decided for the Shure. First I was about to order the PGA mic but then ordered the Beta version. Today I played for the first time with this. It was totally worth the extra bucks Highly recommended for any wind player. Sturdy clamp. Doesn't move an inch even if you want it to! Soundwise there is nothing more to tell than it's a SHURE. Top quality as usual! As for getting started for the first time with wireless. This system is plug and play. You just hit the ON button. For this price range though I would prefer more metal on the housing.

I wasn't sure what should be my first wireless kit and finally settled on this. A few gigs in and it's handled very well, with only one case of having cutouts and that seems because a crowd of people got in between, which is a shame but not the end. Fairly easy to use. Batteries seem to last a good long time. Only thing I wish is that there were an easy way to provide wireless also to the main box itself and not run only off wall power. I have yet to have been given an option that didn't involve a car battery. I wish I could be completely wireless AND portable given my Bose S1 runs on battery. Wish it could also power this on the side.

My saxophone bandmember already had a wireless clipon set and he could move freely around the entire stage and I was just standing there with my trombone like a lantern post behind my mic-stand. So I had to get me one of these! Easy to install, easy to use. Batteries will last a long time. I bought a cheap smartphone armband holder for where I could put the transmitter in and wrap it around the balance weight and could experience total freedom on the stage! Awesome!
