These Gewa Pro Natura Silver Classical Guitars are one of my favourite make. I now have 2 half size : Walnut & Maple, one 3/4 and one 7/8 size. My first 1/2 size was bought on holiday in Germany in 2007 and still my favourite!! Worth 5 stars at least!

I bought this for my four year old son as a birthday present. For the price I was not expecting something amazing, and that was fine - it is a first guitar, something that I knew would be taking a few knocks along the way. So I was pleasantly surprised to hear how good this guitar sounds. I do not have much experience with acoustic guitars ( I play bass ) but I like this enough that it makes me want to play it. The small body is perfect for my kid but not so small that it feels like a toy. The Startone is a well built instrument for a great price. A neighbour had bought an acoustic guitar in a toy shop for her daughter and showed it to me - it was a horrible thing, basically formed chipboard. There were sharp bits of wood sticking out everywhere, and the tuners could barely turn. This...

My 9 and 6 year old daughters expressed their desire to learn guitar. On doing some research and reading various reviews, the Startone CG-851 1/2 and 3/4 size Classical Guitars seemed to fit the bill. I have since had the guitars professionally set-up and cannot recommend them highly enough.

This is a great sounding guitar considering it's size. I was surprised how much sustain it achieves. It has a slightly high action but once I got used to it, it's playability is ok. I have knocked off a star in quality as it has a small blemish on the rear edge of the body.

Comunque siamo soddisfatti

Build quality and sound is ok. Only some 'cracks) on C and D of 2nd string. May have to do with the instrument I got only. Keep in mind that this 'crackling sound' occurs when I (teacher) play it. Most children wil outgrow this instrument before they would be bothered by this.

I have a Baby Taylor to compare this to and this Startone is a nylon string version but with a classical guitar headstock. This guitar was packed with TLC I could tell as I opened the box and the blue finish is flawless. The guitar needs a bit of time to acclimatize to its new surroundings and the strings needed to be tuned a few times but seem to stay in tune. I love this guitar and am considering a red one next. I am older so a smaller 1/2 size guitar is easier on my hands and the nylon strings on my fingers. I wish it had a pick up. Dont hesitate over quality concerns or price! harrygrant.io
