Superb Seakers
Amazing sound, full range and a clean and clear bass, excellent speakers
Exceptional accuracy and a flat frequency response that reveals every detail in the audio. These monitors deliver crystal clear sound and Yamaha's renowned build quality ensures they'll stand the test of time. Room control and high trim switches are very handy. Only thing that's missing is a built in EQ/DSP but lot's of ways around it! In general, it's a great choice, for the money even in 2024!
The Yamaha hs8 is the best value for money studio monitor at the ~300$ price point.
The monitor is quite heavy at around 10kg, foreshadowing the quality build you are about to experience. It has great range and dynamics, to the point where a subwoofer might not be necessary for non-professional use. A pair of these will create an entire soundscape right in front and around your ears, if you are hesitant, get them, you will NOT regret your decision.
Great studio monitor
I love this monitor. Perfect balance, great tone, hard and nice built quality. I will recommend every studio owner have this. Great price for legendary studio monitor. Love it.
Awesome speakers!
I have a studio with Genelec 1032 and NS10 speakers, but for my production studio I needed some additional speakers. I decided to go for the HS8s, and I'm super happy! They sound great, are well built and at a good price range! Love it!
Unbelievable Sound
I’m not expert in studio monitors by any means, but the sound coming out of this one is really amazing, i heard lows, mids and highs never heard before in my own tracks, it has very clear sound, i was even planning to add a sub to the setup later but now i changed my mind.
Sounds Perfect
Perfect boxing
Good Quality and more than enough for small studio production
An honnest flat classic
Very flat sounding and so can seem to not flatter your mixes but that's what they're known for so as long as you know it and take it into account, you're all good. I've had mine for quite a few years now. Bought them a while back, when I was studying sound engineering, and I'm still using them :)
Im in love with those.
I will not go in depth with this review.
All in all, when I manage to make the mix sound good on the HS8, it somehow always translates good onto media speakers.
One thing though. If you are in a small
room, go for the smaller versions. If you have the space, go for the HS8's.
