Fantastic cornet at this price point, very little, (if anything) to beat it. Build quality is lovely, reassuring weight. Even intonation across and free blowing; lovely valve actions too! It's just a fantastic and fun instrument to play.

Used mainly in a brass band, and as an upgrade from the Yamaha Maestro, and then the Yamaha Xeno (Mk 1) cornets, this new Xeno Neo has not disappointed. The quality of the instrument is first class, as I have come to expect from Yamaha. The instrument blows very freely and allows great tone control in all registers. A particular problem I had with the Maestro and Xeno was pitching top A's. This is no longer an issue - well done to the Yamaha engineers. I am very happy with my upgrade and expect to get many years of music from this instrument. PS - The Xeno has not gone away either. Even though it is 10 years old, it shows very few visible signs of its age and will go to one of the other band members in due course.
