Definitely better quality then those cheaper, plastic ones. The music from it also sounds great. For the current price, definitely worth it!

It is ideal instrument for kids to make first steps making music. Good price, nice sound, durable material. Recommend.

great value for money

I bought 10 of these to give to someone who was going to volunteer in primary schools in Ghana and the teachers really wanted to offer musical education. Yamaha is a top brand I know well, and even their most affordable instruments are well made and in tune. Great value for money!

Downside: a cleaning stick/cleaning rod is not included, and you do need one to dry out the recorder after use. Joint grease/ recorder cream is not included either

I bought it just to try it and learn some easy songs. Sounds alright and is built pretty solid.
