Paiste 2002 Classic 24" Ride
Based on 2 reviews
Genres: I was searching ultimate crash/ride, laud, clear, durable and suitable for different genres which I play like stoner, sludge, death and doom metal. Sound as a ride: Versatile, sensitive, warm, full sound with clear ping, medium sustain and loud bell. You can play on it light things which require soft and calm patterns but it cuts through in blast beats and double bass drumming without any problems. Sound as a crash: Very very loud, explosive with long sustain but still great sounding in studio. You will be the loudest drummer in the area but due the weight it could be difficult to control at the beginning. For that reason probably you will need some heavy cymbal stand. Quality: Premier League - no more to say. Summary: As a ride it's very good for many genres but in my opinion it...
Paiste 24" 2002 Black Big Beat Cymbal
Based on 2 reviews
I play stoner rock and like big cymbals. Also it just so happens that crash on my rides pretty regularly, so previously I would either use larger crashes for this purpose or would sacrifice crashability by using bigger rides. Now I have the best of both worlds. Pros: Everything I have read in reviews when researching this cymbal is true - buttery feel; wonderful crashability when used as a crash; does not get overpowering no matter how I hit it; fairly defined ping when used as a ride. Cons: Well, if I had to nitpick - the bell is lacking. My favorite piece of kit in a long, long while. Now just to see how it stands the test of time and my heavy hitting... but hey, it's Paiste - should hold up.
Paiste 24" Rude Mega Power Ride
Based on 2 reviews
Be warned - this thing is heavy and it is large! So if you want to have your drum kit as small as possible and lightweight even? Forget it. Very dry, piercing ping. Almost impossible to use as a crash without absolutely flailing at it with your drum sticks. The bell - oh man! The BELL!! That's a seriously mean weapon. Cuts through the mix like butter. The whole cymbal stays very controlled and dry in its character. Really perfect for metal playing. As with other stuff from the Rude series, I'd recommend trying it out first. I'd assume this is not for everyone. Build quality is absolutely perfect, quite some material for the buck! 12/10 - would buy again
Zildjian 24" K-Series Light Ride
Based on 1 reviews
This Ride can basically do everything! For a straight up ride it has a nice ping and sounds warm with a little wash. The bell is understated compared to others but it does the job nicely. I tend to crash on my ride a lot and the 24 light ride is absolutely gorgeous when you crash on it. the sound is massive but never too much because of the darker tones. Because of it's size and weight you can play quiet, intricate parts and then open up to an avalanche of noise. I'd recommend it to any drummer except those who either want a very dry ride or those who like their cymbals very bright with harsh overtones.
