Sounds great as a guitar, but Midi features are kinda buggy

I've had it for some time now, and the idea behind it is great. The guitar sound really good, but the Midi features are just too buggy for me to use reliably. I would rather just use my other Midi controllers.

WOW! Wish I had this twenty years ago.

I can now play piano as good as guitar, but on a guitar?. Two for the price of one. Great for playing weird riffs on synths and as a normal guitar. This defiantly is for the experimental but also the traditional muso. Try it on a VST Sitar, HA!...Brilliant!!

One of my best purchases as a musician so far

Use:

I'm using the Zivix Jamstik Studio for composing with virtual instruments. Not being good at piano has limited my ability to compose significantly and this instrument has solved the issue.

Pros:

- Midi tracking is very good and the software/vst plugin works well

- The guitar's body is very small so working in front of a computer desk is easy

- Overall playability is good and even the pickups can be split to single coils

Cons:

- Due to the nature on the instrument the midi tracking is not perfect and small fret noises etc are sometimes recorded as midi.

- Tuning the guitar is annoying as separate tool is required.

- The finishing of the guitar was not optimal. Some frets are too long and poorly finished. Also the string action required adjustment due to buzzing

Conclusions:

Despite minor issues, I can definitely recommend this instrument to any guitar player who wants to get into working with midi and virtual instrument more intuitively.
