Satisfied

Useful information for specific drummers. Drummer friend have 19 which has 1698 grams. I tried three different, whit weight 1676,1669 and 1619 grams. And finally chose the thinnest one. It fit best whit the existing cymbals , it is more sensitive to touch and has the most complex sound.

Nice crash ride

I personally use it for my right crash but this is a great ride if im playing a Silk Sonic song or something in that nature. Its not too bright and it gives a very nice sound.

Big and Beefy

I'd previously bought a 16" can crash and wanted something a bit more versatile. Its feels get as a ride, and great to crash with. Bell doesn't really cut through but thats not why I bought it so doesn't bother me. And like all Zultan products, excellent value for money.

Great cymbal

I own several cymbals from Zultan now. I use them together with my Meinl Byzance cymbals. The Zultans sound just as good. The only complaint I have with this crash is that the volume is a bit low compared the the 17" version I have. And also different thin 18" cymbals I have. Not a big problem, but it should be a bit louder than it is. Maybe it's my mine that is a bit on the thinner side? The sound however is very nice!

This is a gorgeous cymbal that served as my primary ride for a couple of years, but now it is used as a primary crash, or a secondary ride, depending on my setup, and genre being played. Can't go wrong for the price!

The sound is beautiful, the feel is amazing and if you know how to hit a cymbal with a little finesse, you can produce a huge variety of sounds. One of my favourite cymbals that I have ever owned.

Interesting

- Good sound

- Hand hammered

- Made in turkey

This cymbal is not a cheap one, this is a high quality one. I don't understand why it costs 1/3 compared to others with the same quality.

The sound is interesting because it's kind of low pitched, but not so warm and deep like other Caz cymbals (even with a smaller diameter). Being considered as a light cymbal, it's also a bit too loud to my ears. The ride sound is good, even if I almost don't use it as a ride, 'cause I find it a bit too high pitched for that; and the sound as a crash is loud and not so warm as I expected.

I also own the Caz 17'' crash and the Caz 20'' ride (which I prefer compared to this). They are my favourite cymbals so far because they are full of harmonics but still really warm. The crash/ride together with those is too loud, I feel it not really compatible.

My advice is:

- if you are looking for a warm crash, go with other zultan caz crashes and you'll be 100% satisfied

- if you're looking for a ride which you can use as a crash too, go with a normal zultan caz ride, they have a wonderful crash sound

Other than that, I have to give anyway 4 stars because 3 would be absolutely too low. It's a great cymbal, the fact is that it's not a standard one, you just have to pay attention to what you get, and what you are looking for.

Great crash with warm sound and nice sustain. Very light and therefor sensitive. As a ride, you need to be gentle as it tends to wash quite easily, however the ping is still there. Very versatile cymbal for ridiculously low price.

Unbelievable Sound for the Price

I can't believe they are selling a cymbal like this for 120¤. The crash sound is dark, warm, and slightly trashy and records really nicely, especially when you need crash accents that blend in the mix without overpowering the rest of the kit or other instruments.

It's a thin cymbal (mine weighs 1555g), so unleashing the ride qualities requires a specific kind of stick and good technique, but I've actually enjoyed using this cymbal in a jazz context lately. I get some nice definition out of it with Vic Firth's Peter Erskine signature sticks. Will definitely get the Caz hats and bigger rides in the future.

I've had this cymbal for almost two years now and so far no cracks or any other quality issues, so this gets 5/5 for both sound and quality.

trashy, more ride than crash

definitely interesting cymbal, not exactly versatile as the sound is generally trashy and metallic. makes a nice ride. not so present as a crash.
