I was never very convinced about the idea of drum modules in Eurorack since while it is possible to get a host of dedicated drum voice modules they take up a lot of HP space, require a mixer and confer little advantage over having a separate dedicated drum machine. The QD module represents a good compromise having four drum voices in a single module with built in mixer and mutes. The drum voices themselves cover a range of different synthesis techniques not commonly available in a desktop drum machine as well as samples. I am yet to delve deep but I am pleased so far with the vamp.de Quad Drum Voice module.

I have had this module for a number of months now and honestly believe it is one of the best modules in eurorack today. It is an amazing piece of gear that gives such flexibility and opens door to countless happy accidents. Controls can be a bit fiddly as you need to press certain button combinations in order to access some features - but it's a small price to pay to have a rich feature set in eurorack format. Never gets old. Would recommend strongly for people who are keen on sampling or exploring sound design in very new ways.

Erica Synths Sample Drum

This module is great. It takes a little setting up but is really useful once up and running. There are some good owner reviews on youtube which are essential to watch before buying. Some nice touches are being able to set the CV response mode (0-10V -5 to +5V 1V/Oct) and being able to set a slight trigger delay so you can implement a CV change just before a trigger which is essential to accurately triggering the sample/slice required. 3 CV per channel is great fun but for me being able to access up to 32 samples by CV and 32 slices within each sample by CV is the killer feature. For a space restrained performance case, this module can really cover a lot of bases if you put in some preparation time. I'd really love if Erica Synth made a big midi sampler with an enhanced version of this...

Strymon Magneto

As expected from Strymon, the quality of this module is quite impressive and everything literally sounds better through it. I'm quite a fan of delays but this is really something special. I would encourage a buyer to watch some of the videos out there which give a great overview and demo of what it does. My only nag about the Magneto is that it could have used more CV for the tape heads. There are others complaining that 4 clock outs is too much, but personally i think it adds a great dimension to cross-patch with weird results. Other that that, i would highly recommend this piece of gear.
