QCon Pro X : Good looking functional daw controller
Pros:
a nice daw controller with everything laid out in intuitive order great for programming automation, selecting/arming/grouping tracks, quickly recording, motorised faders look cool as do the level meters which are very useful
Cons:
the faders aren't quite as smooth in use as i would have liked and feel a bit cheap as do the panning controls
Overall:
the unit itself is built like a tank and definitely looks the part, when i got it the motorized faders would tick quietly when not in use but it seems to have been mostly resolved through a firmware update where you can adjust the sensitivity.
if i'm honest as a piece of equipment it's not really a necessity but once you get used to it it becomes intuitive to the point you miss it when not in use, it's aesthetically good looking but it's debatable weather or not it's actually needed, although if you like tactile control then this is a good unit, i guess it depends on how you like to work but overall i'm happy with it as it does what i need it to with minimal fuss and looks great sat on the studio desk
