HD-662 BK Evo : Best closed-back headphones for this price!

Isolation is quite good and default sound is very good for the price. With velour pads sound is balanced and headphones could be used for Hi-Fi listening and also for monitoring purposes. Headphones are very sensitive and can be powered from any sources, even from mobile phones with good results.

Pressure on the head is perhaps a bit higher than most headphones, but this provides a better isolation and also a better soundstage. Anyway, you can bend them a little bit on top to decrease the pressure if you fell like.

When used with the default pleather pads the bass increases a bit (about +3dB. Bass-heads might like this, especially that isolation increases too.

As I really like modding stuffs, I've opened up the cans to insert some anti-resonance fabric inside. I couldn't find a decent felt to use as anti-reflective, so I've used cotton cloth instead, which is pretty nice and does a good job in smoothing the mid-bass.

So, I like the final sound and I like their comfort too when velour pads are used, though the soundstage may not be the widest one. After all, we're speaking about closed-back headphones, so I think that for how much they cost these are the best headphones money can buy.
