Procaster : Sturdy, solid workhorse

Use

I use this microphone primarily to record voiceovers for videos. This thing delivers quality results with just a little bit of EQ and comp.

I was having a tough time deciding between this and the industry-standard Shure SM7B, but I'm happy I went with this one instead. It's budget-friendly yet sturdy and quality enough to be your main microphone for voiceover and live streaming.

Having said that, I would not recommend this microphone for tracking vocals. For that duty, the Shure SM7B can't be beat (when it comes to dynamic mics).

Pros

- Very sturdy

- Budget-friendly

- Usable sound results

Cons

- Not as clear as the Shure SM7B

- Not recommended for vocals

If you're thinking of doing podcasts or any content with your friend, you can get two Procasters instead of just one SM7B!
