P220 : Amazing detail
I'm using this for my ambiance sounds, fireworks, my voice and other experiments such as a screeching chair or a microwave.
Positives:
- incredible sound detail, when i'm right next to the mic or even a few meters away from it i can hear my fingers making noise as i move them or when i scratch my mustache i can hear it crunch and the detail is just incredible!
- Would recommend for recording acoustic instruments and maybe even electric guitars if you want but be sure to turn on the - 20db function, you don't want your sound to clip the microphone.
- The high-pass function is neat as well, let's me get rid of my bassy voice when i don't need it.
- The frequency response is nearly almost flat, it's very hard to pin point, but i'd say it gets the job done and if you don't feel like there's enough bass just EQ it in your DAW or if you feel like it has too much bass you can always turn on the highpass function on the fly which is always great.
Negatives:
Doesn't pick up wind too well, get just very noisy and the sound isn't very clear when there's wind.
Overall:
Amazing product overall, very happy with my purchase, i'm going to be taking this and use it in many different locations with many different objects and instruments. looking forward to recording more with this microphone.
