NT2-A Studio Solution Set : Highly recommended studio microphone.
Use: I use the RodeNT2-A as a main microphone in my home studio. Used it for vocals, voice overs, podcast, bass and guitar speaker driver capture, room mic.
Clarity: Excellent clarity across the entire frequency range. The sound recorded does feel a little bit coloured. I like the coloured sound too.
I noticed this sound difference, comparing it a Neumann microphone which is transparent and very expensive (2500 euros).
Pros: 1. Excellent sound capture.
2. Switches are very useful for custom settings.
3. The pop filter and shock mount design is very practical to use.
4. Can be used as an all round microphone.
5. The body and build quality is very strong.
6. Very good price point for that quality.
Cons: Non so far.....:)
Comprehensibility: This microphone is excellent for
1. Those people who are unsure which big diaphragm microphone to buy.
2. Those people who need a reliable or backup microphone on the road.
3. Those who would not like to spend too much but would like to have good quality recordings.
4. If multiple people are gonna use this microphone. this has a strong body and if damaged the price point is not expensive.
