TO800 Vintage Tube Overdrive : Good for the price
This was my first pedal, and I didn't want to spend 5 times more to get the original pedal, before I know if I need it.
Pros:
- It does a relatively decent job for the price
- The knobs and plugs are well built
Cons:
- The housing is plastic and its engineering is quite terrible; try inserting a battery and you wish you wouldn't need to do it ever again.
- The sound: In general it's OK, but with a Fender tube amp, I'm having a hard time getting a good sound out of it. I don't yet have a TS9 to compare with.
Overall, you get what you pay.
