Not as expected
This is my first Tube (Green) Overdrive Pedal and its not what I was expecting. I am running it through Bugera V5 Infinium and I dont like the sound I get. I have others overdrive pedals as well and getting good sound through them is much easier. Maybe its just a personal thought.
A bit flimsy, but it sounds so good.
I got this thing to tighten up the low-end on my 8-string, and also just to play thrash on my 6-string. It sounds really good for both.
The pedal is plastic and it kind of feels like something is going to break soon. Though it has yet to be broken.
The battery goes under the footswitch. Opening the battery compartment is way less scary than the other reviews were saying.
This is the most cost-effective piece of gear I have owned. But that is only because of the price and versatility of the product. You can remove lows from your sound (Very important), you can add gain to your sound (Very important) and you can turn down the overall volume.
Blindfolded, it's a TS808
I had an original tube screamer on loan for a recording project and I loved the sound I got from it, but had to give it back. Came across a YouTube video by JHS Pedals comparing Behringer pedals to the originals, so I went ahead and bought a few different models.
None of them have disappointed, but this little dude is used almost everyday. Highly recommended, the only reason for knocking off a quality star is that I would be concerned the plastic case may not be best suited for continuous live stage abuse (e.g. being kicked across the stage every night), however at the price at least replacing it won't break the bank. Great pedal, great price.
Great pedal for the price!
Great tube screamer pedal for the price, sounds great and is well make considering the case is hard plastic, would recommend for people looking the grow a pedal board or even experienced guitarist!
Zuivere overdrive, met wat '70 erbij. Mooie korrel.
Can't argue with the price and sounds great!
Very affordable, casing is probably more fragile than more expensive pedals as a result, but sounds great.
Very good!
I think this pedal is a great proposition for those who just want to try a tube screamer.
I have a TS mini and to my ears it sounds the same as this behringer (it should because it has the same circuit topology). 4 stars for quality because the pedal overall feels kinda flimsy.. but its 30 EUR
Beast Mode (with its orange sibling)
I'm pairing this with the SF300 fuzz pedal to give my analogue monosynth a bit of oomph and plenty of bite.
As others have commented, the build quality is neither here nor there - I don't run these off batteries, yes the case is plastic, yes I'll likely replace the switch with something more tactile - but I am using it as a "desktop pedal", if you will.
For that, whether inserted directly in the signal chain or, for a more subtle bite, in a parallel configuration, this little box delivers the tone! I have no "green magic box" to compare it to, but that's not the point: if you want the tone of one particular box, get that box. If you want to rough up your sound, get anything that roughs it up in a way that pleases your ears! Simple.
As always with this kind of gear, protect your ears, protect your speakers.
No complaints
In an A/B comparison with an Ibanez mini tube screamer neither I nor my guitarrist could tell a difference
