NT5 MP : Small but perfectly formed!

Although a relative newcomer to the world of live sound I've found this Rode NT5 Matched Pair to have been very useful in several different environments.

I've used them for overhead drum miking (cutting some of the lower frequencies and when needed, slightly boosting higher frequencies).

Achieved a really pleasing sound from an acoustic guitar using an ORTF system (the matched pair about 17cm apart, approx 30 cm in front of the guitar, one on axis, one off axis spread at about 110 degree angle). This positioning seems to catch the warmth of the guitar without the boominess of the lower frequencies.

Also, they've been very effective at overhead miking a small choir in a traditional XY mic technique - crystal clear results.

Thoroughly recommend as a versatile and confidence inspiring pair of mics!
