Fusion-T HH Roasted DB : Excellent product

This guitar ticked so many boxes in the description that I couldn’t resist ordering one. I am really happy that I ordered this. What I received was an unexpectedly high quality guitar that plays great, sounds quite good, and holds its own against guitars 3-4x the cost in terms of playability. It’s very good overall. (Not “good for the price” - this is a really nice guitar.)

Pros

- I love the neck. Both the profile and the texture. Thick enough to be comfortable for chords/rhythm, thin enough for leads

- Comfortable, contoured heel

- Surprisingly good tuners

- Good fretwork on mine. The ends are dressed well, but the tops are a bit scratchy. Easy fix, and common in this price range

- No paint flaws on the one I received

- Decent pickups. This is the only thing I might eventually replace though

- Good tremolo, if you like Wilkinson tremolos

Cons

- The tremolo is a bit stiff for my taste. I might remove the 3rd spring as a test

- I can’t get the bridge pickup completely level. It has a slight tilt to it. (I also have this problem on a very expensive guitar, and it is somewhat expected for direct mounts)

- The blue is a bit more pronounced than it is in the photos, which are rather muted

- If, by height adjustment, I can’t get the pickups to sound the way I want, I might pursue a set of DiMarzio’s. But they’re not bad at all.

Hesitating? Based on what I received, don’t hesitate. This is an awesome guitar. Even if I end up putting in $250 in pickups, it is still a bargain.

I hope HB create a shred variant of this guitar. With jumbo frets and a thinner profile neck. I’d buy that in a heartbeat as a companion to this one.
