Virus Ti2 Darkstar : A capable synth, but a bit boring

Ok, I know it is well built, has a good keyboard, lots of voices, effects, interesting oscillators, integration and so on. But not only did I enjoy playing it, I also wasn't really happy tweaking it.

You are sort of musician who likes great sound and playability? What about Nord leads, Nord pianos or whatever?

You are so called geeky sound designer? Well, why not to try Accelerator (which matrix and layout beat that of Virus), Blofeld (which is cheaper).

You think it has many knobs and it is convinient? Well, it isn't. Check out Accelerator or DSI synths. I tell you what it is. This is very old girl now. Old school, if you want.

You like integration? What is wrong with working with software and controllers? Maybe, Nektar Panorama + Reason?

Generally speaking, I didn't get the point of this expensive toy. And it doesn't have the sound that could help justify other cons. Just a box full of presets for "contemporary producer". And a fancy name.
