770 : best condenser mic if on a tight budget

This is one of the best - if not the best - cardioid condenser mics for people on a budget. Excellent for home studio. It is meant for recording vocals, acoustic guitar and even drums.

I've even tried it mic'ing my combo with an electric guitar and though a bit bassy, not bad actually...

First impressions were just overwhelming, just great tonal voice; remember to get a popkiller, and to spend some time with eq and arranging your recording room as it has a huge range and it may pick up unwanted sounds.

Pros

- price

-it comes with a shockmount and case

-really heavy

-quality (built like a tank)

- adjustable knobs for bass and -10db

-tonal definition

Cons

-the case quality is not great

-a bit bassy (but one can adjust the bass knob)

Overall, best cardioid condenser mic for a beginners home studio on a tight budget - great tone and it won't break the bank!
