Green Russian Big Muff Fuzz : Awesome Big Muff Sounds

After watching so many videos on all the different types of Big Muff, I opted to go with this Green Russian one. Among the new reissues of Big Muffs, this seems to be the best one in emulating vintage muff sounds. The sound is very powerful and bassy and it gives the feeling that the amp is going to explode! Loads of juicy sustain and harmonics. Awesome! The transient attack is rather slow and the bottom end flubby and fat like in most Muffs.

The amount of volume and gain you get can is ridiculous. Here one must be a bite careful because any small noise from power-supply or other pedals gets amplified a lot (I use mostly singe coils), but the pedal itself does not produce any noticeable noise. The tone control is really versatile with a wide range of tones and it produces some cool weird sounds at extreme settings. For the gilmourish violin-like sound, I stick a compressor or a compressed low-gain overdrive pedal in front of it. This pedal is very light but well built and the knobs and by-pass switch seem durable. I can only recommend it!
