The best Big Muff?

What else to say after all the existing reviews / feedbacks on this incredible reissue of the Green Russian. You will get the perfect Big Muff sound, very punchy on the bass but clear enough to hear chords and different strings. I use it as alternative of the Ram's Head Big Muff version but this one would be my #1 choice for Big Muff

Black keys all day

This is a centerpiece of my board, even though it is the cheapest pedal on it. I wish to upgrade it someday to the original green russian fuzz, but until that happens this is a solid substitude

I am trying to recreate the black keys sound, and i have maybe not really a correct guess, but a cool sounding one - i use big muff as my stock overdrive. I really like their sound in live in crystall ballroom, for example the song thickfreakness - dan has a very heavy fuzz at the beginning and then he switches to lower gain sound which has a lot of low end and very bright mids. I do that low gain sound with big muff. It doesn’t fall apart when you play both low strings and high strings. I am 80% sure that is not what he is doing, but it sounds cool)

Tone knob is also a fuzz/ gain knob here

Very nice fuzz for guitar and bass

I've tried this pedal with guitar, and it has very very fat sound with bass, and fuzzy sound with bass. This pedal don't has blend control, but in my opinion, for this pedal it is not necessary. The best pedal for price

Perfect for shoegaze, acid rock and any heavily distorted genres.

Bought this pedal because I wanted a good fuzz pedal for an affordable price and I am not disappointed!

Out of the box, the pedal has a very sturdy build quality, but is not too heavy or large that it would weigh down your pedalboard. The rubber pads on the bottom covering each of the corners are a nice touch. All the knobs have a high-quality feel to them and operate with no problems, and the footswitch is reliable.

Sound wise, this pedal certainly packs a punch. Compared to the other Big Muffs, it has a much more bass and mids focused output than, for example, the Triangle Big Muff. It is warm, but not muddy, and the tone knob offers a wide range of sounds from moody My Bloody Valentine tones to brighter, Slowdive-esque tones.

I would certainly recommend the Green Russian to any fan of shoegaze, acid rock, psychedelic rock or other similar genres. It can be easily incorporated to a budget pedalboard. It's the only fuzz pedal you'll ever need!

Best fuzz i've played.

Great sound, compact on board. Would pair it with an EQ to cut through.

Not my cup of tea, but a good pedal nevertheless

A bit of a one trick pony. Sound is very ”dark” and quite bassy, different to other Muffs. Build quality is solid and robust like we expect from EHX. If you’re interested, check youtube demos before purchase. You may like it a lot more than I did.

The best Big Muff

Of all the Big Muffs, this is my favourite. I find the others a little too trebly, waspy or thin, but the Green Russian is a perfectly thick fuzz.

My only complaint is the knob labelling, which is practically rendered invisible unless you are looking straight down at it with ample illumination to boot, however if you are using it frequently you soon learn which knob is which.

What the fuzz!

I love the sound of this version of the big muff. I've tried many of them, but I just love the way this version sounds. Plus the color and the finish are dope! Highly recommended if you love devastating fuzz sound that works amazingly with single coils, P90 or humbucker pickups.
