DS-1 Distortion : The O.G. distortion

I was heavily into Nirvana in the 90s, and this nails the sound heard on their albums.

The tone control boosts bass and cuts treble when turned to the left, and the opposite when turned to the right. People hate how thin it can make the sound, but that kinda misses the point a bit. By losing some of the bass, it allows the guitar to sit better in its place in the mix so the bass can occupy the lower frequencies in the live mix. For certain music styles this works very well indeed. Sounds killer played live when set up with this in mind. The audience will probably recognise it as well!
