OKM I Classic Solo : Reasonable budget binaural

Cheap budget binaural.

Bought for everyday use, mostly in recording noisy urban ambience.

A fair amount of self noise, not suitable for nature/quiet ambience.

Reasonable build quality, although the pair I received were faulty, one side didn't work, so it remains to be seen what replacement will be like.

The included holder is really convenient, it protects the mics, is good for transport, and you can wind the cable into the holder, making it all neat and easy.

I also own the OKM II studio and as expected, these cheaper versions are not as good.

But, I bought them to use everyday and to not be afraid to lose or break them. Provided the replacements work ok, then I'm happy for the price I paid,
