Casino Worn Blue Denim : A Real Keeper!
This is the 2nd M-i-C Casino I have owned, but the difference is remarkable. The really cool 'Worn Denim' finish was part of the attraction, but I was even more delighted upon receipt (which was very rapid). The set-up was nigh-on perfect - I could easily adjust the action to my pleasing and following a change of strings to my preferred gauge, it was good to go; the intonation was spot-on. The 'silk' finish makes for a very comfortable feel and more defined than the deep gloss poly finish sometimes applied to less expensive guitars. The new Casino sports CTS pots which make a big difference - you can retain better tone at lower PU volumes. Epiphone's 'dog-ear' P90s have a high output provide a wide selection of sounds. I play blues, jazz and swing and can honestly say that this ticks all 3 boxes.
The Casino does not come supplied with a case, so being a hollow-body instrument, I'd recommend you have something to adequately protect it.
