Epiphone Casino Worn Blue Denim

I think the best VFM Casino
Many complain about the pickups, hardware etc. Personally, I am total satisfied with the sound, the feel and the overall quality of the instrument. There are two things need to mention. 1st: The jack is somehow stiff to insert the cable and every time I am afraid that I am applying a force that is not needed. Can be fixed of course, but this is a small design flaw. 2nd and quite important if you are planning to change the TOM bridge. Regarding the rattle/buzz, yes there is a small vibration caused by probably the wire retainer on the bridge but you should also consider that the pickguard as well will vibrate so just be cautious of that. First find your problem, then start replacing parts. Now to the bridge. SOME Casinos come with a M8 bolts and some with a M4 thread bolts. For the blue denim, in the photos here is shown the bridge with M4 bolts but what I got is a bridge with M8 bolts! Do not order any replacement for the bridge along with the guitar as a future upgrade before your get your guitar and see on your own. Do not trust the photos and the comments. Read the specs, inspect on your own. In Epiphone website , for casinos, the M4 comes as a standard. It's a gamble probably. I hope this will help you make your order more clear.
Fantastic value
Bought the worn version because I wasn't prepared to pay the price of the gloss version. However, I got a nice surprise, the back was nicely quilted and the front as well. Though not as much as the back.
The color is light blue, almost turqoise. In the right angle, it appears to have a metallic sheen. Very attractive.
Playability-wise, the action was ok, but I preferred lower. The frets were abit scratchy, but smooths out after a few hours of playing. You can also polish them if you want. Some sharp fret ends, but doesn't bother me much.
Overall a good value.
Awesome
Sounds great both plugged and unplugged. The blue denim finish is gorgeous!
Feedbacks easily when using high gain close to the amp. I like it, you can get crazy feedback tones at respectful volumes.
A Real Keeper!
This is the 2nd M-i-C Casino I have owned, but the difference is remarkable. The really cool 'Worn Denim' finish was part of the attraction, but I was even more delighted upon receipt (which was very rapid). The set-up was nigh-on perfect - I could easily adjust the action to my pleasing and following a change of strings to my preferred gauge, it was good to go; the intonation was spot-on. The 'silk' finish makes for a very comfortable feel and more defined than the deep gloss poly finish sometimes applied to less expensive guitars. The new Casino sports CTS pots which make a big difference - you can retain better tone at lower PU volumes. Epiphone's 'dog-ear' P90s have a high output provide a wide selection of sounds. I play blues, jazz and swing and can honestly say that this ticks all 3 boxes.
The Casino does not come supplied with a case, so being a hollow-body instrument, I'd recommend you have something to adequately protect it.
