S.U.B. Sting Ray 4 TBS : Stingray sound on a budget

I never really saw the appeal of the stingray, but I have always been curious as to how they play, feel, and sound, but never wanted to spend a fortune on a music man. This stingray has an amazing versatility I never thought possible out of one humbucker. It will be used in a four piece indie /rock setting and has the look and sound to fit perfectly. The volume is thunderous with real clarity. The build quality is very high, and all the frets were finished perfectly with no sharp or protruding ends. The set up out of the box was impeccable and in tune. This really has opened my eyes to what quality you can get from a relatively affordable bass. This thing is so light and balances perfectly seated or on a strap. One thing that could’ve been improved was the overall finish of the back of the neck. The satin finish on the whole was fairly smooth, but was rough in a couple of places. Overall this is a great entry point for the stingray look and sound and would definitely recommend.
