Drop-Down Tuning DDT-12 : Worth Trying

I liked these strings but they didn't get on well with my floyd rose. The .60 low E sting only just fit through the hole in the machine head and even after rebalancing the bridge I had issues with tuning stability when playing hard. Strings this heavy seem to be better suited to fixed bridge guitars.

The strings themselves were fine. When tuned down to B they had a thick tone without being too dark. They had a reasonable lifespan and were comfortable to play. They were fitted on a mahogany guitar with EMGs being run into a Peavey 6505 and the result was a pretty solid metal guitar tone. For hard rock and metal I would choose these over Ernie Ball or Elixir strings but D'addario is still my go to brand.
