Why use other strings?

There is no reason. DR is the best.

On this set, I feel that the string n:o 2, the E, could be a little thinner.

Still, quality is great as usual and they sound great too!

great strings!

Maybe it was a bad choice starting with the thickest strings you would ever have on a 6 string guitar,

they barely fit on my Ibanez RG, my fingers hurt the whole first week i played, but guess what, I have been playing on same strings for 4 months now, and they still sound so damn great! they sound thick and warm, perfect for Djenting, and strong enough not to break while playing

Exactly as described!

These drop-tuning Strings are great for low tunings, I personally use them for Drop C and Drop B on my 24,75" scale guitars and they are perfect for it. The strings are perfectly tight and no slacking to be found or heard.

They keep in tune very well (as long as your hardware isn't messing up of course.)

The lowest String is pretty thick (60 gauge) so there might be the need to widen the gap in the nut a little bit on something like a Strat or Tele, but it's nothing a file can't handle.

Also, they last a pretty long time without corroding or starting to lose tone in a major way, so if not played too much they easily last 1-2 months.

It's just a very nice set of Strings and they are just as good as described.

The best for drop tunings

These are the best strings I?ve tried for lower tunings. I?ve played them in Drop B and Drop C. On longer scale-length guitars they?re tight and percussive and on shorter scale lengths they?re awesome for super low tunings.

Worth Trying

I liked these strings but they didn't get on well with my floyd rose. The .60 low E sting only just fit through the hole in the machine head and even after rebalancing the bridge I had issues with tuning stability when playing hard. Strings this heavy seem to be better suited to fixed bridge guitars.

The strings themselves were fine. When tuned down to B they had a thick tone without being too dark. They had a reasonable lifespan and were comfortable to play. They were fitted on a mahogany guitar with EMGs being run into a Peavey 6505 and the result was a pretty solid metal guitar tone. For hard rock and metal I would choose these over Ernie Ball or Elixir strings but D'addario is still my go to brand.
