HB-60 WB : Cracking bass guitar (and not just because of low low price!)

I love a semi-acoustic electric guitar or bass. Wanted one of these for a while and when I saw they were available again I snapped one up. Out of the box, it looked great.

Couple of very minor quality issues - had to tighten the knobs a bit (easy job with a small allen key). One of the pickups is a bit rattly in its housing so I'll fix that at some point. I may also get a tune-o-matic bridge put in, but not in any great hurry: existing one is not a problem if you accept its inherent limitations.

Some personal adjustments: I put some flats on it, and it sounds fantastic. I need to file the nut a bit so they sit a bit better but to be honest, after six months I've got used to it. Neck is a bit fatter than I usually like but that's personal preference not a quality issue. I've also got used to that too. I sanded some of the gloss finish off the neck so it's super smooth and silky. Adjusted truss rod slightly to suit my preferences.

But no complaints. For a £200 guitar this is amazing, and in itself, I really, really like it for the soulful/60s thump style I bought it for. If you're thinking of trying a semi-hollow body, get one of these. Terrific guitar.
