Mustang LT25 : Pretty impressed!

I was looking for a practice amp for domestic use and although the technology behind this Mustang is not exactly up to date I was reasonably impressed with the various features compared with other amplifiers in the same price bracket... that was until I actually received my new toy and spent time playing with it, now I'm rather more than reasonably impressed.

The Pros

This amp offers enough variety for those people who are content to settle with the pre installed sound settings, however delving into the settings allows the user to take full control over the sound produced; just a small amount of tweaking improves many of the presets. It's so easy to set the amp up to get exactly the right sound I've found myself adding to the presets and with 30 empty slots there's plenty of room for experimentation.

Forget the presets and 'tune' the amp using the gain/tone controls, it's really not bad at all especially if you choose the right combination of amp/speaker model!

The Cons

Okay I can't imaging any serious guitarist wanting to use some of Fender's preset sounds, but thank fully they're easily deleted and can be replaced by more practical settings.

The USB socket was outdated when this amp first appeared on the market; why didn't Fender do something about that?

Overall I'd recommend the Mustang LT25 to anyone on a limited budget or beginner guitarists for home use.
