I use Sonar and compose music with it which is why I bought these. I don't consider myself an expert at all but I was just listening to Bowie's 'Heroes'. Never owned it, only hearing the Grooveshark version but there are things on that record that I had no idea about.

I have just tested the bass response, in my own fashion. It's fine - at least for my purposes.

Also I'm using a good USB audio interface, not the onboard soundcard, but I have no headphone amp and they are loud enough for me.
