Excellent piece of software, with a learning curve

This is my first approach to the Ableton world, I'm coming from Reason 10. I must say that this software is highly flexible, but I knew I would have to learn it properly before I start. And, since it has tons of features, those has to be learned too.

Other than that, I highly recommend musicians to go for it. It is quite affordable too!

more or less useless product only add very little over the free version

Ableton has decided to publish the Ableton DAW in 4 different versions, the Lite that is free, this version the Intro that is only useful for very small productions with a max of 16 tracks, the standard that has most of the features but is still missing a ton of sounds and plugins + some compatibilities that only work with the Suit version and the suit that really is the full version but also a lot more expensive.

the Intro version is only and barely better than the free version, so really think hard about if you really really need the few more tracks and sounds, or if the free version will do, the next version up is a huge price jump
