Awesome little midi keyboard, very smooth to play and incredibly easy setup with my DAW and softwares, literally plug and play. Enough features to allow me to expand my compositions. Highly recommend.

Love this one for all the things it does. I use it on the road for beats and in the studio for recording sessions. Just a quick trip into the Akai software and adjust what you want it to do

Program Editor missing features!!!

mk3 program editor is missing to switch pads between toggle and momentary mode! You can't use this to changes banks or switch on and off effects in Bias FX2 or any other app that needs to to toggle on off anything! In mk2 program editor there is an option to switch between toggle and momentary! Why Akai drop of this crucial feature from the newer mk3???

Anything else is working as expected but I bet quite many people need that option to work effectively on many music production softwares.

but you want the learn music more cause you need learn about this keyboard a lot thing

Great choice for the first controller

I was looking for a compact controller as I'm somewhat limited in space but without losing many features. This one has everything I wanted: keys, pad, modulation knob etc.

Pros: universal, compact, knobs handling is smooth, variety of color design

Cons: keys are not full size which may be a difficulty for someone who is used to the normal sized pianos
