Good sound: nightmare feedback

I bought 2 of these to mic up 2 Marshall 4 x 12 guitar cabs. The sound was great, but it was virtually impossible to eliminate feedback from the mics. Even with the mics right up against the cabs and the gain down low, if someone spoke on-stage, you would get a feedback ring from the microphone.

They are probably great for acoustic work but my experience with them is that they are very difficult to work with in the stage environment of a rock band.
