AKG K-240 Studio 4-stars Reviews
standard studio headphones
they're not so comfortable but works fine for a normal session in studio
good home studio headphones
good headphones for the price, of course not in the same range as the "studio classics" beyerdynamic dt 770 pro
Very good for its price
Used to have various headsets for several reasons and compare to them this studio headphones are very good , but not the best. At least their material is very confortable and the sound quality is fair when you want to practise with your drumset.
Great for listening not recording
Spreads the sound to much out so the mic captures everything
Very good
Not for recording becouse you will have bleed . Amazing to reference a mix
high quality headphones
K240 studio keeps the quality of AKG as expected. I prefer AKG products and have used this product for years. I have to say, it is a quite nice product which I probably rate 5 stars, if I did not purchase K271MKII together with it. It is not about the looks or the sound of both, but I just love K271 more.
Good headphones for the price
Doesn’t cancel the outer sound but the quality is above average
Best for recording vocals
I use this for monitoring vocals and silent practicing piano and bass.
The semi-open construction really excels on vocal takes as the singer can hear his/her own voice but doesn't bleed to much to the microphone.
The construction is solid, but a thicker, spiraling cable would be preferable.
Wearing comfort is excellent.
Soundwise, it has detailed midrange and laid back highs, perfect for vocals and long time listening without fatigue. Bass, however is a bit lifeless, lack of details. So I switched to ATH-50x from Audio Technika while playing bass.
It is a good workhorse for the money, especially for those who dislike the isolation that closed headphones offer.

Very good deal, the sound is great and your ears won’t fall off your head after using them for a few hours!
Good for guitar practice!!
My first studio headset so I have no experience. I bought them for practice
its light weight and sound amazing . For studio use for pc needs headset amp cause sound are not loud but its ok for me!!!!
Good studio headphones with one big disadvantage
I selected these because it has a detachable cable, which is pretty convenient in a studio environment. I didn't figure out in the beginning (and it's not seen in the photos) that the plug is not a standard 3.5 mm jack but is a custom (AKG) plug. So not any AUX cable would fit, as I assumed first. I thought I would buy a longer standard cable to replace the original one. But not possible. Bummer :(
Good quality at a low price!
Rightly considered as one of the best budget headphones. Excellent for guitar practice. Recommended!!!
Simple but great value!
For a backup pair of headphones for recording/mixing or for a starter pair to dip your toe in the water can highly recommend!
What you expect
These headphones do exactly what you would expect at this price range.
The low end is missing a little but I really wouldn't complain. I would recommend these to anybody starting out.
pretty comfy, warm sounding, KOOL LOOKS!
this is my 4th headphone after Sony 7506, Directsound EX29, bayerdynamic DT770 pro 80ohm.
My ears are overly sensitive to mid-high frequency, so this headphone was pretty good to my ears for music listening. However, that characteristics of this headphones come in as its weakness when it should function as a monitoring headphones.
The other headphones that i bought right before this one was DT770 and DT770 is 130 euros K240 is 55 euros. And even compared to the other 2 headphones I have, K240 is still the cheapest product. Although my impression for K240 might sound a bit unfair, I tried to write as honest as possible.
K240 omits quite a lot of detail from the mid-high frequency. it was very obvious both in monitoring and music listening, so when I wanted to pick up all the details from the sound, it was usually not there. The sound is not as bad as to be called as muddy. It's quite alright, but it's more of the warm one.
I should admit here that the fact I bought this headphones mainly for the looks. I like blue, pink, and gold colors too much. I just wanted this.
headband is pretty comfy. not the best among ones I have. but the headphone itself is pretty light as well.
In conclusion, I find this headphone very useful for my regular music listening. with a veeery slight bass boost, this one serves me very well as a music listening headphones. But I think I shouldn't recommend this as monitoring headphones.
Good Quality
I think it is good headphones for everyone.
The quality responsed the price.
Just don't over the volume!
Good headphones for the afordable price
Been using them for 1 year. Pretty much they are okay and have clean bass and nice highs. I would recomend this headphones to people who are live recording or people who do live gigs. The headphones are opened so U can always clearly hear anything around you..
Pros: Affordable, good locking, light, replacable cable and head paws, deep clean bass
Cons: Lack of isolation, after longer time wearing them got headache because of how tighten the pads are to your ears.
Lack of bass
Everything is fine about this product except for amount of low frequencies, it's very flat no matter what output I'm using.
They are great! they do the job
These are quality!
very worth it, great for mixing/production purposes.
a little tight on the head, maybe it might change in the future as they get softer.
They sound very flat, to me and gives me a bit of a wide sound.
Surprisingly decent sound quality for this price range, as 1/2 open, it is pretty much my style of head phones most of the time.
