It is a complete value for money product.

I use it set to +4 dB at 3900 Hz and -3 dB at 6800 Hz, and I am very satisfied. The material quality is adequate.

Beautiful headphones 🎧

I recently acquired the AKG K-371over ear headphones, driven by the need for low impedance monitoring capabilities for my Dirtywave M8 tracker, and a fortuitous discovery of a reduced price. These headphones have swiftly ascended to the pinnacle of my audio arsenal, earning the title of my new favorite.

The folding mechanism is a testament to ingenious design, providing practicality for storage within my backpack – a boon for those on the go. In the accessory department, the inclusion of three cables enhances the product's versatility.

Sonically, the AKG K-371 delivers clear and neutral audio, to my ears atleast, maintaining a balanced profile that befits various listening preferences. The sound quality, while not overly embellished, ensures a reliable and accurate representation of audio sources.

Comfort reigns supreme with these headphones, standing tall as the most comfortable pair I've had the pleasure of wearing. The ergonomic design and soft materials contribute to extended listening sessions without fatigue.

In conclusion, the AKG K-371over ear headphones marry functionality, versatility, and comfort in a harmonious symphony. For those seeking a professional-grade audio companion, these headphones effortlessly strike the right chords.

Powerful bass and easy EQing

Nearly 2 years of use review:

What I liked:

- Powerful bass, the 50 mm drivers pack a punch without blowing out the mids and being muddy

- Overall sound, these headphones have a nice natural sound with loads of detail which isn't lost to bass.

- Very responsive to EQ, these headphones can be easily tuned to whatever sound you like, analytical sounding to head vibrating bass.

- Cables, very nice selection of cables which are removable.

- Build quality, these headphones are very sturdy and they fold which is good for transport.

What I didn't like:

- Somewhat narrow soundstage, these headphones are closed back so the sound might appear to be quite closed in.

- Comfort, At first use the comfort wasn't great, the ear cups were shallow, the pads prevent use with glasses since losing the seal decimates the sound and the headphones aren't the most stable on the head. It can also get warm after a while.

Conclusion: Absolutely worth it. They are a great pair of headphones.

Awesome sound, feels very well built.

My unit has a bit too much clamping pressure, i hope that will time it will get looser. Aside from that i have no complaints, i hope these things last because i'm very satisfied with the sound.

Great cans

Love or hate. Sound may be considered a bit `coloured` to some, maybe equivalent to a `loudness` switch. Used them for tracking with great results. Comfortable, not a very tight fit, and the bleed is acceptable. Only reason I sold them was an upgrade.

Faithful, comfy, sturdy

I needed headphones for both mixing on the fly and for tracking. For that, they needed to not color the sound in a significant way, light, and closed. These succeed in all of those tasks.

Frequency-wise, to my ear there isn't any particular set of frequencies that stand out. No hissy highs or boomy (or absent) lows. Mid-range is controlled and tightly fit with the rest.

Easy to manage, quick to store away, and with different cables, it's easy to set them up in a way that fits the job at hand.

Field recording - good to carry around, easy to pack away, long cable if you need the distance.

Mixing - despite their being a closed design, they also feel like they breathe well, and their frequency response is smooth through and through.

Tracking - again, long cable to move around, and very light.

Overall, these are headphones that will fit more than one job description in a more than competent manner, and I would definitely recommend them.

Great closed back

Very pleased with the quality of these .

Swapping between these and Sundaras is a good palate cleanser, Sundaras give a more clinical, wide and spacious sound while these give a more intimate and more "alive" sound with a bit more bass slam.

The only negative is the comfort, i have slightly big ears (7x4cm) and these are a bit too narrow in width, after some 40min mark i have to adjust them, if you have slightly smaller ear then these will fit snug.

Highly recommend these headphones for both studio work and just enjoying the music, these punch way above their price point, they are one of the best closed backs available.

Punchy bass but medium comfortable

I mainly use this for home studio. Mixing and mastering some simple podcast and gaming videos.

This headphone is not power hungry. Smartphones can easily handle this.

My Behringer UMC404HD phones volume is set to 10-15% volume and can be loud when volume is more than that.

PROS:

Detail sound, punchy bass. Its amazing to listen to hiphop or pop with this headphone compare to openback headphone(AKG K-702). Since my age is 26. Maybe I can't hear higher frequencies compare to others.

The treble is smooth and not harsh.

Build quality is not looks cheap.

It filters the external sound great for studying or working alone.

CONS:

It is not comfortable as AKG K-702. If you prefer comfortable but slightly lose on bass then go with that (But K-371 is better sounding).

It feels the headphone press my ear and head inwards.

But I forgot the uncomfortable feeling when I busy doing while wearing this headphone.

Great headphones

I use these headphones for monitoring mics and playback in a theatre, and also mix logic tracks with them. They are comfortable, and sound good, the sound isolation could be a bit better, but not an issue. Its great to have all accessorise including 3 wires (short, long and a coily cable which is ''old school'' awesome). The build quality is good, also the pads are very comfortable. overall a good headset, recommend.

Quite good for techno

I got it due to harman curve and its extended frequency response. It has good sub response. It is quite comfortable but due to the material used in the pads can be little warm sometimes.

It doesn't have sponge on the top part. It is soft plastic.

The real look of the headphone is better than the images.

I mainly produce techno and it can tremble your ears easily :) DT 770 has more soundstage than this headphone but I couldn't feel the bass and sub with dt770.

Overall it is nice to have harman curve headphone in the studio.

Great sound

The sound quality is absolutely top-notch, goes really deep with sub-bass without ever becoming rumbly or boomy. The mids and highs are both clear and detailed without being hyped. If you come from typical hi-fi headphones with boosted bass and treble, you may find these a little flat, but that is only because they're more neutral than your average headphones.

Very satisfied!

I've been reading about these headphones a lot and decided to try them because of their "Harman curve". I was very pleased with them, they sound great and are actually surprisingly "neutral". I have used them for producing music and for just listening to music and they worked great for both.

The only slight minus is that they are very close to the ears and if you have big ears like me, then you will be touching the insides at times. But it's a really minor thing, otherwise they are very comfortable, the pads feel very nice on the head.

Overall, well worth the money!
