AKG K-52 Reviews
Good quality, angled jack not for me...
I started playing again the guitar after 35 years! I was so happy when <i received this headphone, also happy when using it... But I could use it only just 5 times... a sudden movement of my cat scared me and oooops... the jack is totally torn off... if the jack was not an angled one, all would be good!
Great sound!
Accurate sound reproduction. Correct accents in all meetings. Bright upper right middle. I definitely recommend.
Very good, cheap and a good first choice for a home studio
It's a very good pair of headphones. Weightless, comfortable and kinda worth for first home studio choice. Meanwhile, as a backup pair, taking the seat of my favourite DT 770, it's good. Its good for its price.
Also i was thinking if this is a quality pair of headphones for a home studio. Yeah ok it is. When I first unboxed it, I saw and felt the low quality plastic materials, but, once again, for its price it's good.
Now the sound. Ok they have kinda lovely sound, flat, but not almost flat. Something like when you adjust the volume of the audio interface starts a beat peaking before the peak level. Is the reason for that the ohms? - I don't think so.
The type of the product, I'm 100% sure is not closed.
Volume knob 30% - everyone in my room can hear what I hear.
Volume knob 50% - everyone in the next two rooms can hear what I hear.
If move them upon my head, lay them on the desk, move from room to my hall, I still hear them. So I think this item it's worth to start from a cheap pair of headphones, but not as described.
Excellent casque ouvert
Lows don't sound very good, but overall the headphones are good when used for vocals.
There's better for cheaper
I bought a couple of this one and a couple of the t.bone HD 200. They are very similar: OK sound, loud levels achievable, flimsy build, adequate jack adapter, questionable comfort. I like the sound of the cheaper t.bone HD 200 better though. This one sounds just a bit duller.
Fair price for sturdy headphones
I am using AKG headphones since 2011. I never saw one broke. This one was my 5 th or 6th i guess. (I gave them away to my friends and family) Perfect for recording sessions for tracking. I may purchase one more later.
The gap between the vocals and instrumental music is not too dense, the taste is on the light side, in short, will not let you f
You want to rush to death metal, rock music, do not buy you like the Japanese small fresh Caiqin, classical instrumental music such as this is a good performance, durable listening
Great but cheap plastic
Do the work with no issues but very plastic light.
Great headphones for the price!
They are very comfortable and do not feel at all on the head. I don't get tired after them. When recording, the sound is not skipped. This product fully justifies its price.
AKG K-52
Rather good sound for price.
first time use
does the job
good price
just buy it and try
Good headphones
These are good headphones for the price - I use them as monitors whilst recording vocals - and I can say they do that job well.
They are clear in sound and give a good range of frequencies.
Unfortunately my pair of headphones have now stopped working in one ear - I don't think I can really blame the build quality of AKG on this though - My headphones met my 2 year old daughter - they didn't stand a chance really :-D
perfect for the price
sound well, well built, cant complain
Very light phones, smallish mini jack connector
Very light phones good to guests.
Sound is bright and ear pads are squishy (maybe it’s just feeling, but have impression I hear em, probably just question of what I’m used to)
Mini jack is small, can be too lose with loose sockets (don’t have screw on adapter).
Not Quite
Quality is excellent, personally, I found the following points.
1. Treble response is too high and not realistic when compared with KRK pro monitors, so if I use it for mastering my balance will be off.
2. Fit - A Headphones deliver bass response based on how good it covers ears airtight in my opinion, the ear cups are not oval, they are round and too big for most of them I think, leaking the air all around and very difficult to judge BASS and not convenient. Ear cups are a bit rough.
3. I know you get what you pay for, but for the price, I shall say very nice but I do not recommend them for mixing.
Great bang for the money
Yeah I like these for the price you have really clearly defined sound which is not too bassy. Some might prefer more bass but I like it balanced. The bass is there and defined just not booming like the kids seem to like it these days. Very comfy even over a beany. Only thing I would say I use these for listening to my mp3 player outside and the cable is a bit long for that.. but for at home that would be perfect.
Very good for the price
Its quality all over
It's sound quality is very good. Very depth detail and surround.
For me it hurts a little on my neck but that might be my big head and headphone breaking in so it ll get looser I guess.
Hard to find better value
Bought for use with a guitar amp I now use these for PC and TV as well.
Far better than I expected.
I've had more comfortable phones but not at this price level but I have a very wide head and they'll be perfectly comfortable for most people.
Sound quality is good ie; far superior to ANY earbuds you can normally buy,
A decent length fairly durable cable tops the deal
