Not as expected

I need to shout loud for the mic to capture my vocal

in our rehearsal studio we now are using all P3's. Cheap mic, does the job well. I know they are prone to fall damage (learned the hard way) but if it's always fixed to the stand and you don't move it too often - you are safe

Always reliable AKG

I have been using AKG microphones since the 1960s and this P3S lives up to my expectations. Great for live work and I also use it as a vocals mic in my recording studio. A good all round mic, very robust and extremely good value for money.

Good mic for the price

Its a good mic for the price but they could do a little better on the handling noise.

An Okay Mic

I bought this mic as a talkback mic for when I'm mixing bands live, and for this it's great. It seems really hard wearing, the switch is quiet qand only makes the smallest noise through the PA when being switched on/off.

That being said, I'd never want to use them for actual vocals because it really doesnt sound good and you're better off finding the cash to buy an SM58 at minimum (another not great mic but it's at least industry standard).

good for a newby

this mic is really good if you want to start recording vocals/instruments and may save on 2-4 cups of coffee

Works just fine for vocals and acoustic instruments

Nice Look

Good microphone, I use it mainly at home for demo/test voice recordings. I get Good quality recordings via my TCElectronic Impact Twin. I've never used for pro recording or live.

it's all ok except one

It's all ok - the sound the same as Shure SM58 mexican edition.

One problem - you hear how you touch or beat on the body of the mic. I guess because it's not isolated from the inside but it's the question of the cheap price.

Good price

Good price, good quality for the money.

I'm not using it for profesional purposes.

The qulity of the mic is very good acording to my opinion.

Recomend, it comes nicely packaged set up with holder for the mic.

Good mic

Good inexpensive microphone, it's OK for male voice but I find it even more suitable for female voice since it has a nice velvety quality which can compensate for high/shrieky tones of some female voices.

Akg wins again

Ive been a fan of akg for 20 odd years. People rate shure but for me ive found akg makes superb little mics that are loud and responsive.

The handle and feel of the mic are superb. Heavy rugged but quality at the same type.

Sounds out of the mic are as great as any akg mic ive used before and i love the expression i can get with it for me!
