Aquarian 14" Hi-Performance Resonant

Great one!

Own this one before never replace it in almost 8-9 years and still sounds great. This is why I use Aquarian products. Very strong, durable and sounds fantastic.

Protect your snares!

nice finish on the head and a great fit apart from on one of the snare beds i noticed crinkles even at a medium tension, but I only fitted it today so hopefully it will go as the head beds in. Nice and crisp snare articulation and snare presence. Would recommend to those in search of a new sound!

Durable snare side head

I use it on my 14" x 5" 7 ply birch snare.

It is regular thickness snare side head although it is marketed as ultra thin while it is "ambassador" weight - 3 mils thick.

I didn't notice any big sound difference between this model and other regular snare side heads. White stripes that can be seen are nothing more than some kind of adhesive tape scissored by hand - pretty same as people sometimes use Duct tape to prevent buzzing of snare wires.

I like the protections it has for the metal wires. It has a very nice sound. Recommend!

wrong purchase - my mistake

remember that thin resonant heads vibrate more rapidly than thicker ones and as such shall transmit vibrations from the toms more rapidly - need I say more when one installs "an extra thin one" like this one - I removed this reso snare head after having played for one hour because the buzz was driving me crazy - the buzz did go away when I repositioned my 10 inch tom (the main cause for the buzzing) but I had to put it in such an awkward position that it was no longer comfortable to hit it properly - I also question the added value of the 2 pads: they are supposed to protect the snare head in case one of the wires would snap but I am now 64 years old, have been playing the drums since the age of 13 and I have never experienced broken snare wires... all this said: the build quality is very good.

Superb Resonant Head!

I bought this as the standard classic clear (which i usually use) was out of stock. I'm not sure if the white patches make much difference apart from durability but these heads sound amazing.

I put this one on my 14'' natal hammered / double beaded steel snare, and when paired with a standard texture coated sounds outstanding! Really sensitive.

I've used these ever since they were launched. A fabulous head from Aquarian, does exactly what it say on the box!

Great snare side

The little white material is a good idea if your snare wires decide to break. I'm running 42s on my Vinnie Paul 14x8 and this reso gives my snare that fat THWACK you'd hear in modern hardcore/ pop punk (paramore, Underoath)
