Energetic!
For the price is more than worth it imo.
Great
Hands down my favourite head for snare drums.
Awesome
This head sounds awesome on my vintage Yamaha kit!
Excellent basic snare head
Comparable to the Ambassador or G1, this is your 'run-of-the-mill' one ply coated head. Probably the best option if you aren't sure what to get, easier to muffle if needs be rather than unmuffle a head that's already got some dampening on it.
Sounds just as it should, durable, in every regard for me it's on par with its aforementioned competitors. Aquarian's coating might be a little bit more coarse, so if you're a brush player, that might be something to consider. Otherwise, I can't tell much of a difference in terms of tonality or quality between the brands.
When you want to try something else than the mainstream brands
Sounds the same to me as all other "standard" single ply heads on a snaredrum. Do have to admit that I was surprised by the longevity of the coating. It lasted quite a while longer then some other heads I have used in the past. So, yes would buy again.
Hollow sound, great quality
I suppose this is just preference but I didn’t really enjoy the sound from this head. It has a defined, hollow sound to it which wouldn’t be to my taste. I had however used it for quite some time and it barely had a scratch on it when I decided to change the head. I hope this helps you :)
great Head!
really love these heads on my yamaha live custom kit. can get them tuned quite high without choking!
Fantastic as a batter snare head
I use this on my snare and I'd recommend it to others for this application also.
Sound is cool
Sound is pretty cool, didn't expect that. Quality is quite strange, im not sure about it - or my solo drum is not so roundy or it's the problem of this coat. But from time to time it has to be tuned (and more often that Evans i guess)
Great sound, but split in under 3 weeks
The head sounds absolutely great, the coating is very good and doesn't seem to wear at all.
However, after about 3 weeks of playing (around an hour a day) the drum head started to crack and completely split down the centre, making it unusable.
I'm not sure if the head I recieved was faulty, but it was a shame because of how good it did sound.
