Aquila Regular Sopran Ukulele Strings Reviews
Outstanding strings
I got my cheapo good looking LP style ukelele with default value strings and when I first played it I was kinda disappointed, specially with the intonation and the fact they were super dull and the tones died fast.
So, I changed the strings to these and here are my findings:
- They are VERY elastique, and ring in an excellent way. They take a lot of re tunning until they finally settle.
- They won't lose pitch anymore after they're settle.
- Somehow they wont change pitch as much when you push the string between the frets (specially on the lowest notes) I assume it has to do with the elasticity. This helps a lot keeping the intonation at bay therefore having clean chords.
- They sound brigther than the ones installed on the uke before. The sound also lasts longer (not a LOT, but definitely longer)
- They have a rubbery feeling on the fingers when you play, that helps a LOT with the sound I believe.
- Now my ukelele sounds much better overall.
Aquila Corde Regular Soprano
I use these strings on low priced ukuleles because they make such a big difference to the sound quality. The sound is full-bodied and clear and they are also very easy on the fingers. They make the playability of even a cheap ukulele a lot better.
These are supposed to be one of the best strings on the market ... and I can't disagree with that.
Great strings, well recommended.
Bought these strings because I'd read on various uke sites that they can really improve the sound of your uke. They do! Have recommended to friends who had cheap strings on a new uke, and they were impressed with the results. I haven't needed to use my strings yet as my uke came with Aquillas already on it, so these are spares.
