ART Powermix III 4-stars Reviews
Sound is ok but...
The handling is great and overall build quality..too bad that when volume knobs are set to zero you can still listen the inputs in the back... that's very annoying. I like it as a small pedal-size mixer for my synth rig.
A Small Mixer for my Pedal Board Build
Reasonably priced and has pretty much all the functions I need to get 3 stereo sources out to my Headrush Speakers.
I'm using a GR-55 and (soon to come) a SY-1000, so I needed a way to get 3 stereo outs together without going to a full desk. This ticks the boxes. Very simple with level control for the inputs and a balance mini pot for each pair, so if I want I can position the outputs in stereo - although I'll do that in the units themselves.
There is a master out level and a volume control (shared) for the two headphone sockets. I will not likeley use these, but it is a nice addition for anyone practicing at home where amplification is not possible.
I've read there is 'leakage' even when a channel is shut. Honestly, I've not noticed, and it wouldn't bother me anyway, as I just want to use the unit to mix some pedals, and not make a 'studio mix' LOL. Seriously, if you want that functionality, this is hardly the product!
What it needs? Well a peak light on each stereo pair would be good - ditto for a green/amber/red on the output.
Another £5 cost might have allowed for this, and I think would have been wise. But..... Just use your ears :) If it sounds ropey, you are over driving a channel pair - back off. :) Yes... aswith all things audio, you need to listen rather than look.
Apart from that, all good. Solid build. Small enough to sit on your pedalboard, and could even be a base for addition pedals on top, for that second row. Happy.
Be aware, it is 12v and not 9v ...
